Cashew Cream Sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Diced Onion
  • 1 Cup Soaked Sunshine Nut Perfectly Plain Cashews
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Garlic Clove, Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • ¾ Cup Water


Heat olive oil in pan and cook onion for about 3 minutes until they start to soften. Make sure not to allow them to get browned or colored. Add onion to a blender with the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Do not add all the water the cashews were soaking in but use that water for the ¾ cup water called for in recipe. It will give it an extra flavor boost. Add more water for desired consistency and enjoy! Pair with your favorite pasta.
